Emerson College expanded its locations to Los Angeles and built a brand new campus on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Working with Hathaway Dinwiddie, Interior Services installed close to a thousand shades in classrooms, conference rooms, common areas, and dorm rooms. The shades look pleasing from the inside and outside of the award-winning buildings. Large conference rooms with windows scaling more than 20 feet were covered with motorized double shades with room darkening material. With some perimeters having outward-slanting window-walls, shades were given a wire track to keep the architectural effect. Shades were installed into concealed and recessed pocket for a seamless look.
